How to Downgrade from iOS 14 to iOS13.7 in iPhone

As we already now that recently on Sepetember 17th 2020 Apple has released iOS 14 officially to all the users of iPhone. After beta version of iOS 14 and tested by all the developers and by fixing all the bugs it was released to Apple users to upgrade it. After all the reviews on social media and from some other news updates almost all the users of Apple has upgraded their iPhone to iOS 14. The major changes comes with iOS 14 was the Home Screen Widgets, Messaging Application, Application Library, Clips, Picture in Picture. After upgrading users feels the new experience as never before. It looks a bit buggy and find some times tricky when compared with the previous version.

Basically when a new version was released, before officially announcing it to the users it will be released for developers for testing purpose. So that if any bugs found during usage can be fixed and their won't be any issue with the phone. That we usually call it as Beta Version. Basically Beta version will be released before the final version of the software. And when releasing a new software their could be some disagreement from the users. In that case, their should be chance that they can degrade it from newer version to the oldest version. And this should be digitally signed by the Apple. Then only the users can downgrade them selves when needed. 

How to Downgrade from iOS 14?

When a user feels tricky with the new version, he used to think to downgrade to the previous version. Basically to downgrade from one version to another version is not that easy as we think. Some times it may happen easily and may become critical some times. To downgrade to the oldest version you need to have permission or the authorized person has to be given an option which allows to shift to the oldest version. Apple should digitally signing of the older version, then only you can shift. There are some points that you need to take care before proceeding to move to the older version. Here are the list

  • You should have backup of your information of safe with you, as if anything happens while downgrading you may not loss your original information.
  • Apple should signing the version to downgrade and that IPSW of older version iOS 13 in this case should be available. 
  • While downgrading the major point is look for the support of your device.
  • Current versions of data also need to made backup.
  • To downgrade you need to have updated version of iTunes in your system. Then only you can downgrade.
  • Either Windows or Mac OS is mandatory to perform your actions.

You can downgrade from iOS 14 to iOS 13 in 2 ways.

  • Downgrade from iOS 14 to iOS 13 using iTunes
  • Downgrade from iOS 14 to iOS 13 with out using iTunes
  • Downgrade from iOS 14 to iOS 13 using Finder

Downgrade from iOS 14 to iOS 13 using iTunes

  • First you need to connect your iPhone to your Computer/Laptop
  • Then Open iTunes
  • Select iPhone icon on the top Sidebar
  • Then from the details select Restore iPhone option
  • Then we need to choose the version to downgrade. Select iOS 13.7 IPSW file
  •  Click on Open and a popup will open and seek for permission
  • Click on Restore to continue.
  • Then wait for the process to complete.

Downgrade from iOS 14 to iOS 13 without using iTunes

This procedure is done without using iTunes for downgrade. Just follow the below procedure.

  • From your system your need to open Dr.Fone 
  • Then choose System Repair from home screen
  • Now, you need to connect your phone to your system
  • Then, select Standard Mode (When we choose this option you don't loose any data from your phone)
  • Then, select the appropriate device which suites to your iPhone model
  • Then, select the old iOS firmware 
  • Click on Start Button
  • Wait till it gets downloaded. Then click on Fix Now to repair your iOS
  • Once this step is done, your iPhone will restart and will have iOS 13.7 on your phone.

Downgrade from iOS 14 to iOS 13 using Finder

  • Open Finder from your PC (Windows/MAC)
  • Connect your iPhone to your computer
  • From General Page select Restore iPhone option
  • Then, a pop-up will appear here. You need to select he IPSW file and click on OPEN
  • Now, when you click on Open, immediately another Pop-up will appear saying that Your Mac will erase and restore your iPhone to iOS 13.7 and will verify the restore with the Apple
  • Then, your phone may restart to install iOS 13.7. Wait till process is completed and then your are done.
  • Now click on Restore to continue to the procedure.
