Apple on Tuesday had released iOS 14.4 for all the Apple users. After the testing the beta version of iOS 14.4 with 2 beta versions yesterday Apple announced the new iOS update that will be available for all the users of Apple. Apple also has mentioned in the note that, it is better to install the iOS update ASAP by all the users. As there are some bugs regarding the security and privacy in the latest iOS 14. There may be a chance of entering by the hacker or attacker to control your iPhone easily. They also specified in their support webpage there are 3 security issues which have been actively exploited. One from its WebKit which is an open source browser engine used by Safari and iOS browsers.

A remote attacker may able to exploit arbitrary code execution. Apple has also mentioned that they are investigating on this fault and the information will be released soon as soon they found the correct information. With iOS 14.4 latest update they have fixed this bug of entering unknown person into our mobile. Along with this bug fixes they also updated few other things as well related to smaller QR codes in the camera Application. For Bluetooth classify option is added in settings.

  • The redesigned widgets on the Home Scree, a new way to automatically organize apps with the Application Library,
  • Compact design for phone calls and Siri.
  • Messages introduces pinned conversations and brings improvements to groups and Memoji.
  • Maps adds cycling directions and makes it easier to find places you will love with Guides.
  • App clips introduced a way to quickly discover and use a small part of an app.
  • New privacy features improve user transparency and control over how apps access your location, photos, microphone and camera.

What's new in iOS 14.4

iOS 14.4 includes the following improvements for your iPhone:

  • Smaller QR codes can be recognized by Camera
  • Option to classify Bluetooth device type in Settings for correct identification of headphones for audio notifications
  • Notifications for when the camera on your iPhone is unable to be verified as a new, genuine Apple camera in iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max

This release also fixes the following issues:

  • Image artifacts could appear in HDR photos taken with iPhone 12 Pro
  • Fitness widget may not display updated Activity data
  • Typing may be delayed and word suggestions may not appear in the keyboard
  • The keyboard may not come up in the correct language in Messages
  • Audio stories from the News app in CarPlay may not resume after being paused for spoken directions or Siri
  • Enabling Switch Control in Accessibility may prevent phone calls from being answered from the Lock Screen
