NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to launch the successor to its Redmi Note 3 smartphone in India, Redmi Note 4. The company has sent out media invites for the launch of the smartphone at an event to be held on January 19.
In terms of specifications, the Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. Powering the handset is a 2.1GHz deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 processor coupled with a 2GB/3GB RAM. It offers a 16GB/64GB internal storage composition which can be expanded further by installing microSD cards.
The Redmi Note 4 sports a hybrid dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It sports a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and dual-tone LED Flash along with a 5MP front facing camera for selfies. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G,Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, and microUSB options. It is equipped with a fingerprint sensor and is backed by a huge 4,100mAh battery.
The smartphone maker recently launched its Mi Note 2 with dual-curved display in China.
The device features a flexible 5.7-inch OLED display under 3D glass. The company, on its part, claims that the device sports a 77.2% screen-to-body ratio, 100000:1 contrast ratio, and a reading mode as well.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor, clubbed with 6GB LPDDR4 RAM, and a 128GB inbuilt storage. A 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant is also available.
The Mi Note 2 sports a 22.5MP rear camera powered by Sony IMX318 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and EIS. On the front, there’s an 8MP autofocus camera based on the Sony Exmor IMX268 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Other features included are NFC, HD audio quality, and GPS connectivity.
