Step 1: Make sure that you are running on iOS 14
First thing you need to do is your need to upgrade your iPhone operating system to iOS 14. You can find automatons only from iOS 14 and later versions. Go through with our previous articles for Features of iOS 14 & How to install iOS 14 Beta version.
You can even find it on earlier versions like iOS 13 as well. But it is not fully automated action. It's a manual intervention procedure. You can monitor your battery status by setting an alarm on your phone to check for battery charge notification.
Step 2: Go to setting and Disable Battery Optimization
Overcharging your phones lead to reducing your battery's over all life span. To avoid this first, you need to optimize your iPhone battery. This option will block your iPhone from charging only to 80%. But, if you need your battery to get charged 100% ignore it.
Keeping your Battery Optimization option in On lets your iPhone not to take much charge which is not needed after all. You can turn this feature off if you wish to charge your iPhone to 100%.
Step 3: Start Automating your Battery Level Notification
To start automating your Battery level notification. Follow the below procedure.
- Open Shortcuts from home
- Then Click Automation Tab
- Now click on Create Personal Automation Tab
- Scroll to down and select Battery Level from options
- on Battery Level, move the slider to 100%
- Then click on Next
Step 4: Customize Your Automation
After creating your automation, it's time for customizing it. You need to add actions to your automation's. To customize your automation, follow the below procedure
- From Actions, click on Add Action
- From search box, search for Show Notification
- Default name for will be Hello World. Change as per your need if needed
After all set, your iPhone will play a sound when it reached 100%. You can customize your sounds by going to Show More from notifications action. You can select your Sound and can set. Even more if you are looking for you can play a song instead of sound and vibration.
Step 5: Create a shortcut Automated
By default iPhone settings doesn't allow your to run the notifications or actions automatically. This was disabled to not to take the control of your phone without your permission. Any actions before running need to have your permissions. It will asks your permission to allow or disallow your actions.
To run your automated actions automatically, you need to TurnOff "Ask Before Running". To do this, follow the below procedure.
- Under Notification Section
- Disable "Ask Before Running"
- Click on Don't Ask
